We gather on Monday nights to create art and unwind with each other. It's always relaxing and eye-opening. like, hearing a great song that may have been written right there, on the spot. See the essence is, good people, many of whom are also good musicians, having good times at Potluck. If you don't choose to play some music it is equally entertaining to see what comes of the night...Bring your creative itch, food/appetite, new song, ideas and good cheer. It's the best place to go on Monday evening

Tonight: Potluck (Open Mic/Good Food/Good Times)

Hi everyone.

Potluck. You know? It's people hanging out, collaborating, sharing music, sharing food, relaxing...it's an intimate atmosphere. You may hear (or play) any combination of music you like. We have it built around a "food" theme --because food is good! And music is good! And hanging out with friends is good!! Potluck, is good....come join in.

This weeks edition will gather local filmmakers and local musicians to live score short pieces of film. Witness the improv unfold right before your eyes!!

Its a potluck dinner, its a potluck performance.
Come have fun with us...relax with a drink, dine on freshly prepared food and either perform music or enjoy the collaborations that occur!

Here's some easy instructions:
Food--Bring a dish. Or don't bring a dish. Either way, please eat.
Music--Bring an instrument. Or don't bring an instrument. Either way, please enjoy the music.
Film--Bring a selection of film (7 - 12 mins). Or don't.
YOU--Do bring yourself, your friends. And have a blast.

Spin the bottle, with your talented friends, and perfect strangers from our music community.(Open invite to any musician or storyteller.)...we'll spin the bottle and it will rest -eventually- it will determine musical "teams". It will determine other things....it will keep you on the edge of your seat, and on your toes....and:

Hi friends. In case you are currently unaware, we are hosting a darn good time for you each Monday night. John Peter has orchestrated a Potluck dinner with music provided by you, us, them, your friends, that girl/guy you just met....and/or anyone else who has the itch to display their electronic passions on the open stage. It's pretty awesome to watch the collaborations, witness the improvisation and, enjoy the musical ends that often times begin, and end, on that stage. To be heard on this/that night, only that one time....Oh yeah, there's quality free food too. When we exhaust ourselves from creating music, we listen to vinyl provided by you, us them...see the trend here?? We all contribute. We all make it happen. See ya tonight...

Tonight. Potluck, 2. Yes!

Hi everybody.

Come help us celebrate our 1 week anniversary for, potluck!

This night will be devoted to improvisation over selections of film. Sound awesome? It is!!
So, if you're a musician please bring what you need to perform.
If you make or enjoy film, please bring a selection of film for the musical teams to live score.
Lets build this into something fun and important guys through this opportunity to meet and play with people in your community you may not currently know.

Doors at 9. Free show. Bring a dish or two if you'd like...and bring some vinyl for the listening party at the end of the night, please.

Potluck...Mondays....TONIGHT!!

Hi everyone.

This Monday, January 16th, launches a new evening of multimedia at The Elevens.
The evenings will be named “Potluck,” as they are in many ways, a potluck.

The first of these nights will play host to an electronic open mic featuring Jazer Giles, Gabriel Sullivan, Sylphid, and many other local artists as this is an open mic geared towards electronic and “other” music. So translate however you like, and "bring it if you got it".

Tonight's show will also feature a special performance by Raub Roy (Hora Flora) from his digs in California, brought to you via Bambuser. Those of you who can’t make it out to the show can look for the live feed he will be posting on facebook. Doors are at 9 and it's a free show --with food!...feel free to bring a dish.

When we are out of performers for the open mic, a “listening party” will begin...Everyone is invited to bring vinyl they want to share. We'll have one open turntable on stage intended to nurture a living room vibe to relax in....Just hanging out, listening to records, eating, dancing, meeting. Whatever...

Sounds pretty cool right?

Going forward, Potluck Mondays will alternate intricacies and, just so you are aware, the second Potluck will be January 23rd. It will feature similar elements. Food, dancing, meeting, etc. But will be a little different this time....It’s an evening of improvised music to film. Yes! Open to any and all musicians, or non-musician :)

You are invited to bring short pieces of film which we as a community can view and live score with music. Once again, a listening party will be part of our evening towards the end.
